Barb's Buyline -- Christmas 2006

It's another great ski day in Whistler! This is the best season opening that we've had in twenty years. The resort is alive with holiday travelers enjoying the festive Village ambiance and perfect ski conditions.

Real Estate Update: The market continues to enjoy steady sales and prices are stable. Condo sales are about the same as last year and single family home sales have increased, particularly in the high-end price range. The year should finish out slightly ahead of last year.

Coming Soon: Many of you will know the Shoestring Lodge site just across from the Nester's shopping centre in the White Gold area. Municipal approvals are now in place and there will be a new community development constructed there which will consist of state of the art designed townhomes and a component of affordable employee housing. Prices will be in the 2 - 3 Million range and marketing will begin in the New Year. Let me know if you are interested and I can send along more detailed information.

Mountain News: The new Symphony Express chair on Whistler opened last Saturday. It boasts phenomenal views and deep powder skiing with an additional 1000 acres of vast bowls to enjoy. Many other ski runs have been upgraded and expanded to increase your mountain enjoyment.

Something Different: Non-skiers can now enjoy the scenery at the top of the mountain and experience gliding on the snow in comfort. "Sno-Limo" will chauffeur you in a comfortable, warm glider type chair which is gravity powered so that you can join your friends and family first hand on the mountain.
